My insurance wrote an estimate and gave me a check, but it’s less money than your estimate. What should I do?
There are several factors when comparing estimates, the most common are labor rate differences, policy limitations, and included or missed items. The best course of action is to bring a copy of your insurance estimate to the repair facility and let us handle any discrepancies for you. We’ll work with your insurance to verify policy limits and repair discrepancies to get you back on the road as quickly as possible.

I was in an accident, is it better to go through my insurance or the other person's insurance?
There’s not an easy and decisive answer on this one; however, if you go through your insurance company you will base your repairs according to your insurance policy. If you have a deductible, you will be required to pay it when you pick up the vehicle unless your insurance company waives it.
If the other party has been determined to be at fault, your insurance company will then submit the repair bill to the at fault driver’s insurance company for reimbursement. Once the other insurance company pays the bill, your insurance company will reimburse you the deducible.
Similarly, if you go through the other party's insurance company (once liability has been accepted) your repairs will be based on the other party's insurance policy and you will not have a deductible to pay. In most cases, the at-fault party's policy will pay for a rental vehicle should you need one.
In some instances, it can take several days, weeks, and even months to determine liability, so if you need your vehicle and can’t wait for liability to be accepted, you proceed with your insurance company.

I hit someone and believe their damage is under my deductible, should I just pay for it myself?
Many people are unaware that, when in an accident that is your fault, you do not have to pay a deductible for the other person’s repairs. Your deductible only applies when you have your vehicle repaired. With that said, your premium rates may go up because of the accident; follow up with your insurance agent.

Someone hit my car and wants to pay to fix it themselves without going through their insurance. Is this a good idea?
Even with minimal damage after collision, there could be underlying hidden damage not visible on the surface; therefore, increasing the cost of repairs once you get it into the shop and more thorough inspection can be done. Also, is this your only vehicle?
Do you need a rental car while your car is being repaired? Their insurance would provide you with a rental; they should do the same if wanting to pay themselves. So good idea? Depends on the trust you have in the other party.
